• Prodigy was influenced by many musicians including his grandmother – Bernice Johnson (self proclaimed by coining herself the H.N.I.C), the first black woman to own a dance school located in Jamaica, Queens. In addition, Prodigy was greatly guided by the wits of his grandfather, famed Jazz musician Albert “Budd” Johnson Sr. 
     At age 13, Albert began to perform at numerous talent shows.
